The "FCNB Premium Account" combines the benefits of a FCNR (B) deposit with Forward Cover to give attractive return to the depositor.

Overview of FCNB Premium Account:

  • FCNR (B) deposit is to be opened in USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, AUD, and JPY.
  • Deposit Tenor: 1 year.
  • Minimum deposit: USD 2000, GBP 2000, EUR 2000, CAD 2000, AUD 2000, and JPY 200,000.
  • Maturity proceeds are payable in Indian Rupees.
  • If the FCNR (B) deposit is closed before maturity no interest will be paid and Forward contract cancellation charges will also be levied.

Procedure to open a FCNB Premium Account with authorized branches* in India:


For existing customers of the Bank,
  1. Remittance for opening a FCNR (B) Deposit.
  2. Click here to download the Customer Consent Letter for booking a Forward Contract.
  3. Customer has to sign the Contract copy of Forward Cover after booking.
For new customers of the Bank,
  1. Click here to download the FCNR (B) account opening form.
  2. Click here to download the Customer Consent Letter for booking a Forward Contract.
  3. Fill up the account opening form and send it to the authorized branch* with the following documents:
    • Two passport size photographs attested by you.
    • Passport & Residence Visa / ID Card Copies duly attested by Banker / Notary Public / Indian Embassy / A person known to the bank.
    • Signature in the account opening form should be verified by any one of the following persons / entities:
      • Indian Embassy / Consulate / High Commissioner.
      • Your bank abroad.
      • A person known to the bank.
      • Notary Public.
  4. Remittance for opening a FCNR (B) Deposit.
  5. In case you are not visiting our branch, please enclose additional documents (any two of the following):
    • Latest Overseas Bank statement in original.
    • Copy of Telephone / Electricity Bill mentioning the overseas address.
    • Cancelled paid cheque of your overseas bank A/c.
    • Copy of proof of drawing income / Employee ID / Labour Card.
  6. Customer has to sign the Contract copy of Forward Cover after booking.
